NUIG CLAMPS DOWN ON UNRULY STUDENT BEHAVIOUR

Date Published: 28-Sep-2011

NUI Galway is taking a pro-active approach to deal with students who engage in anti-social behaviour in city residential areas.

Local residents in Newcastle say they have to endure loud unruly behaviour by a minority of students which begins every September.

Last night [27/9] a meeting took place organised by Councillor Billy Cameron between locals residents' associations and student authorities at NUIG.

The Student's Union at NUIG has already dropped leaflets to houses in the area around the campus advising against unruly behaviour.
