North West MEP hits out at economic gap between regions
North West MEP Marian Harkin has hit out at the spatial strategies of successive Irish governments.
It comes as figures in the Regional Quality of Life report compiled by the CSO show Galway's disposable income per person at just over 19 thousand euro.
This compares to the Dublin figure of 21 and a half thousand euro.
MEP Harkin says the figure shows a failure to close the economic and social gap between regions.
