NO REFUND OF COUNTY COUNCIL FUNDING CUTS

Date Published: 25-Sep-2012

Galway County Council has now been told that it has permanently lost almost €780,000 from the annual Government grant for the third quarter of the financial year.

This is because of the amount of the €100 household charge that remains to be paid in the county.

Councillors were incensed by this news which was given at this week's meeting of the County Council.
