NO RATE CHANGE FOR TUAM TOWN

There will be no change to the annual town rate in Tuam following a meeting of the local authority.

Presenting the town budget and a fall in income for 2012, Director of Services, Frank Gilmore, explained this was due to a loss in revenue from hiring out the town hall to the court's service.

Mr. Gilmore proposed that the rate stay the same as 2011, which was € 3.66.
