NO PUBLIC EVENTS SCHEDULED FOR DANA FOR TOMORROW

It's still unclear if Claregalway resident Dana will continue to contest the presidential election.

The Independent Presidential candidate hasn't made any of her scheduled public appearances today following last night's dramatic personal statement on RTE.

Also, as yet, no public events have been scheduled for tomorrow fuelling speculation that she may withdraw.

Although Dana can't officially withdraw from the race because her name is on the ballot paper she can unofficially withdraw which would mean she would stop canvassing and doing publicity.

At the end of the Prime Time presidential debate, Dana said 'vile and false allegations have been made against a member of her family'.

However she would not be drawn on the nature of the allegations and has so far been unavailable for comment.

It's understood she has been in meetings with her legal team all day today.
