Date Published: 10-Sep-2008

A meeting of the Progressive Democrats which was planned for tonight but was called off due to a bereavement, has not yet been rescheduled. The meeting was expected to discuss the future of the party's only back bencher, Galway West T.D Noel Grealish, amid speculation that he may be defecting to Fianna Fail. However a close friend and neighbour of Deputy Grealish died this morning, necessitating a cancellation of tonight's meeting.
