NEW SECTION OF GALWAY- DUBLIN ROAD OPENS

There's good news for Galway motorists today regarding the road journey to DublinThe N6 Kilbeggan to Athlone dual carriageway is set to officially open in the next few minutes, with traffic being allowed in at four o'clock.The thirty kilometre stretch of road will join the Athlone Bypass to the Kilbeggan to Kinnegad Dual Carriageway.It will bypass Kilbeggan, Horseleap and Moate, and will cut 45 minutes off the journey time between Galway and Dublin.
