NEW LEGISLATION NEEDED TO ENSURE UPKEEP OF PRIVATE HOUSES

The City Council is waiting on legislation which will grant it more powers to ensure the exteriors of private houses are kept in order.

At a recent meeting of the city's joint policing committee, councillors raised concerns about the upkeep of certain properties in the city.
