NEED FOR DROP IN CENTRE FOR ALCOHOLICS IN BALLINASLOE

In Ballinasloe three local people have now qualified as addicition counsellors and are prepared to give freely of their time to meet people with alcohol problems.Since the closure of the alcholic unit attached to St. Brigid's Hospital in Ballinasloe, there have been many demands for its re-opening.However there is no unit available to accomodate the service and ideas to secure are now being looked at by the joint policing committee.
