Mobile phone operators are being urged to upgrade coverage on the new M18 motorway between Gort and Crusheen.
MEP for Ireland North West Jim Higgins believes failure to do so puts Galway jobs at risk.
He says the worst areas of dropped calls are towards the end of the motorway on the Gort side.
Jim Higgins says the technology is available now to upgrade.
