A NAMA board member is a former director of Galway ferry company Aran Link, which has been taken into receivership.
The Irish Independent reports receivers were appointed when the firm was unable to meet bills for work on a 300 seater vessel at a boatyard in Norway.
The Aran Princess vessel was intended to provide a new ferry passenger service between Galway and Kilronan on Inis Mór.
The catamaran is now to be auctioned off in an effort to repay debts.
Limerick based accountant Brian McEnery and a NAMA director was also listed as one of the directors of Aran Link until the receivers took over.
