N6 CONSTRUCTION URGED TO RESTRUCTURE EAST GALWAY ROAD

Date Published: 07-Aug-2009

East Galway residents are urging N6 construction to re-structure the Cappatagle New Inn road in East Galway as a matter of urgency.Almost 40 residents met with councillors, the NRA and N6 construction on the road this afternoon, to voice their concerns on the conditions they have to endure on a daily basis.Locals say that the road is impassible for cars, and are requesting a complete re-instatement of the road to the standard it was before building on the new N6 began. While no agreement was reached today, a second meeting is to take place next week.
