N18 REOPENS FOLLOWING FORCED CLOSURE

The N18 in Oranmore has re-opened following it's closure for several hours this afternoon because of a gas leak.Bord Gais confirmed that a third party contractor working at road works on the Carnmore Road next to the Oranmore Roundabout damaged the gas main today.The N18 at the Oranmore roundabout, near the Maldron hotel was closed for three hours this afternoon while repairs were carried out.Bord Gais have stated that there is no disruption to any gas supply or any need for evacuation.
