Music from Berlin at the Eye

The legendary Berlin Philharmonic will present a colourful all-Russian programme live via satellite to the Eye Cinema in Galway this Friday, November 9 at 6.30pm.

Conductor Simon Rattle leads off with an all-Russian programme of two completely contrasting composition styles, showcasing the orchestra at its largest and most powerful.

Rachmaninov’s romantic cantata, The Bells is balanced with the energetic Rite of Spring by Stravinsky. In between the two large works comes a very rarely heard short work for huge orchestra by Stravinsky: The King of the Stars.

The Eye management is recommending early booking for this event as demand is high.
