MORE TRANSPARENCY PROMISED AT PORTIUNCULA HOSPITAL

Any proposed changes to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe will first be brought before management, staff and public representatives.

The Minister for Health has vowed to make the decision making process more inclusive.

Dr James Reilly met with hospital management and staff as well as local public representatives yesterday.

Galway East TD Paul Connaughton - who was the meeting - says change can be acceptable if it's properly managed.
