Molly Hicks return to Town Hall

The Molly Hicks are an exciting original and contemporary bluegrass unit based in Galway, featuring Ruth Dillon (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Bernie O’Mahony (vocals, guitar,uke-banjo), with American ex-pat Tom Hanway( vocals, 5-string banjo, Peter Akerstrom (vocals, guitar) and Paul O Driscoll (bulldog bass). They play at the Town Hall Theatre in a rare full concert format on Friday, March 18.
This tight vocal group is noted for its uncanny delivery of traditional and contemporary bluegrass songs. Everyone in the group takes turns singing lead and harmony, doing call and response, in the grand traditions of American bluegrass, full-grown gospel and country music.
The Molly Hicks will also be joined on stage by very special guests, including Juliana Erkonen from Finland on fiddle, master puppeteer Des Dillon, and more.
