Minister for the Environment, Phil Hogan is being slammed for comments he made about the reason for the cryptosporidium outbreak in Galway in 2007.

Speaking on national radio today, Minister Hogan blamed septic tanks for the contamination which resulted in the need to use bottled water for months.

Independent MEP, Marian Harkin says Phil Hogan has no evidence to back up his claim.
