MEN IN COURT FOR ALLEGED CASH DECEPTION OF ELDERLY CITY WOMAN

Two Dublin brothers are to stand trial for the alleged attempted theft of €2,000 from an 84 year-old Galway city woman by deceiving her.33 year-old Hugh Doherty and his 25 year-old brother, Augustine Doherty of 4 Oldcastle Park, Clondalkin, are both charged with attempting to obtain €2,000 from an elderly woman at Curralee, Headford Road, by deception earlier this month.
