MEETING TO DISCUSS FUTURE OF KNOCKNACARRA SCHOOL

Date Published: 17-May-2012
A meeting will be held in Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh this evening [17/05], to discuss the ongoing campaign for a planned extension to the Knocknacarra school.
The Board of Management has invited all of the locally elected representatives to attend.
The principal met informally with Ruairi Quinn earlier this month to highlight the school's case.
The Department of Education acknowledged the advanced stage of planning for the proposed extension, but will not give any guaranteed timeframe for a future build.
A planned extension would mean that students would no longer be accommodated in prefabs and they would have a new school hall.
