MC HUGH OR HIGGINS UNLIKELY TO WIN SENATE SEAT

Date Published: 28-Apr-2011

County Councillor Pat Hynes from Loughrea has now been eliminated from the Senate race.

He was competing alongside fellow county councillor Tom McHugh from Tuam and solicitor Lorraine Higgins from Athenry for a seat on the Industrial and commercial panel.

At this stage it doesn't look like any of the other two Galway candidates will gain a seat to the Senate on this panel.
