The Mayor of County Galway says Enterprise Ireland and other state bodies responsible for job creation, must be the spring board to generate new 'home grown' jobs for Galway. Cllr Peter Feeney was responding to yesterday's announcement from Canadian firm Celestica. 80 voluntary redundancies are being sought among the 300 workforce at its Parkmore base in the city. A Celestica spokesperson said the jobs would initially be sought on a voluntary basis over the next few months.
