MANUELA RIEDOS FAMILY TO SET UP FOUNDATION IN HER NAME

The family of Swiss teenager, Manuela Riedo, who was killed in Galway in 2007, are to set up a foundation for rape and sexual assault victims.Manuela Riedo was killed at Lough Atalia in the city, three days after arriving in Galway for an English Language Course.Gerald Barry was sentenced for her murder last month. According to today's Irish Times, the Manuela Riedo Stiftung will be launched next week.Switzerland based publican, Brendan McGuiness approached Manuela's parents, Hans-Pieter and Arlette about setting up the foundation.
