MAN TO BE SENTENCED FOR CITY RAPE

A 45-year-old man will be sentenced in October for the rape and sexual assault of a young girl in the city last year.

The man - who can't be named for legal reasons - was found guilty at the Central Ciminal Court this week.

The man had denied raping the then 13-year-old girl at a city location on May 15th of last year.

He also denied a further charge of sexual assault.

However, he was found guilty after a three day trial at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.
