MAN STILL HELD OVER DRUGS SEIZURE IN LOUGHREA

The divisional scenes of crime unit has now completed an examination of a house in the Loughrea area where cannabis drugs worth 100 thousand euro were seized.
A Vietnamese man in his 40s was arrested following a search of the house, and is still being detained at Loughrea Garda station this evening.
The planned search of the house at Raheen, Oughter got underway at 9:30 this morning and involved members of the Galway and Loughrea divisional drugs units.
Gardaí uncovered a sophisticated hydrophonic cannabis cultivation factory, and seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of 100 thousand euro.
