Man remanded in custody over alleged city assault
Galway Bay fm newsroom - A 44 year old man charged in connection with an alleged assault in the city yesterday has been remanded in custody.
Dara Mc Corley of no fixed abode appeared before Galway District Court.The accused was arrested by Gardai after an incident on High Street at 2.30 yesterday afternoon in which a 60 year old man was allegedly struck on the head with an implement.Mr. Mc Corley appeared before Galway District Court today where he was charged with a Section 3 assault and a Section 9 offence under the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act.He will appear before Harristown District Court on Friday (August 2nd).
