MAN RECOVERING AFTER SUFFERING HEAD INJURIES IN BALLINASLOE

A 31 year old man is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after suffering head injuries in Ballinasloe.

The man was found by a passerby lying on a footpath at Duggan avenue at around 5am yesterday.

He was taken to Portiuncula hospital for treatment of his injuries but has since transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

Ballinasloe Gardai do not suspect foul play at this stage, but are appealing to anyone with information to contact them on 09096 31890.
