MAN CRITICAL AFTER BEING INJURED AT HEADFORD HOUSE

A man is in a critical condition in hospital this afternoon following an incident at a house in Headford this morning.The incident happened at a thatched farmhouse near Toorard just before 8am and the 50 year old farmer was brought to University Hospital Galway as a result.Claremorris Gardaí were called to the scene and have sealed off the area for a technical examination.It's understood the injured man had been living in the house with his elderly father, although Gardaí have not yet established the circumstances leading to the man's serious injuries.
