Man bailed following court appearance re Ballinasloe Drugs seizure

A man with a Ballinasloe address has been remanded on bail following his arrest by Ballinasloe Gardai near Cappataggle regarding the posession of Cannabis.
Anthony McCarthy (35) with an address at 36 Dun Esker, Ballinasloe appeared before Judge Geoffrey Browne at a special sitting of Galway District Court earlier today (Saturday).
He was charged under Sections 3 and 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
He was remanded on bail on his own bond of 1,000 Euro and an independent surety of 2,500 Euro (both sums of cash lodged with court) to appear again before Ballinasloe District Court next Thursday January 23rd.
