MAJOR RESCUE OPERATION UNDERWAY OFF THE COAST OF GALWAY

A major sea and air search operation for two people is underway off the coast of Galway.The alarm was raised just after half past eleven this morning after a currach was found washed up in Aughras near the Cleggan area.Early reports indicate that two people had been on the boat, before it was found washed up on shore.
