Luke Ming Flanagan to contest European elections
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Roscommon/South Leitrim TD Luke 'Ming' Flanagan says he believes he's in with a "very good chance" of being elected to the European Parliament.
The Independent Deputy today announced that he will stand in May's election for this area - and is aiming to secure one of four seats in the Midlands-North West constituency.
He says Ireland has gone too far with the European project and should leave the single currency.
Speaking on Galway Talks, Deputy Flanagan acknowledged it will be a tough contest as an independent but one which he is willing to fight for.
