LOUGHREA GARDAI WARN OF DOCTOR IMPERSONATOR

Gardai in Loughrea are investigating reports of a suspicious man calling to homes in rural areas posing as a doctor and offering 'health checks' to elderly people. The man is purporting to be from Portiuncula hospital in Ballinasloe, however Gardai have confirmed no such doctor exists. He's believed to be Irish and is described as small and stocky, clean-shaven with grey hair and well-dressed. He gained entry to one house after he claimed to be from Portiuncula Hospital and offered a 'health check'.
