The Leisureland complex in Salthill, which is owned by Galway City Council lost 1.3 million euro over the last two years

Cllr Ollie Crowe questioned the loss at this week's city council meeting asking is it being run as a competitive business or is it throwing good money away

Director of Services Ciaran Hayes said the council is not satisfied with the income stream and is discussing it with the board at the moment

The facility is run by Galway Salthill Failte Limited on behalf of the city council
