The residents of a city suburb have lodged an appeal to An Bord Pleanala against a new secondary school in their area.Residents of Fana Burca in Knocknacarra are unhappy with the VEC'S plans to develop a pedestrian entrance to the school through their estate. The new school is to be a permanent base for Coláiste na Coirbe. However locals are opposed to a pedestrian entrance to the school being built through the Fana Burca estate. The residents believe the estate will be used as a pick up and drop off point for students and say the extra traffic will make it difficult for them to bring their own children to school.
