Kiltormer hurlers flying high once again!

Kiltormer’s All-Ireland winning heroes of 1992 are flying high once again – on the livery of a Colombian jumbo jet!
The legend ‘Kiltormer 92’ is emblazoned on the A320, built in France, for a new low cost airline in Colombia, South America, called Viva Air.
The honour of naming the new aircraft fell to 34-year-old John Goode, whose father of the same name was manager of the All-Ireland club champions in 1992.
John Jnr., who is second oldest of a family of five, is now a senior partner and chief operating officer of the new airline company in Colombia.
Indeed John Snr was with his son in Toulouse in France when the first aeroplane was handed over to the company.
“I had the privilege of naming the first new A320 aircraft in the Viva fleet that we took delivery of in Toulouse. It didn’t take me long to decide upon ‘Kiltormer 92’ to honour a great group of men that brought tremendous pride to our parish, just over 25 years ago,” he explained.
“I was just eight years old that famous year and my dad was coach of the team. I went to every game, often on the bus with the players,” he added.
