JUNIOR MINISTER LAUNCHES WORLD HEALTH CENTRE AT NUIG

Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, Áine Brady launched a new centre at NUIGalway earlier. [1pm]

The World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre for Health Promotion Research was launched at the college.

The Health Promotion Centre at NUIG has been working for 20 years in promoting health education and providing research to support national policies.

Other special guests at the event included Dr. Kwok-Cho Tang, Senior Professional Officer at the Department of Chronic Disease and Health Promotion at the WHO in Geneva and NUIG President, Dr. James Browne.
