JULY DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS TO EUROPEAN COURT ON CITY OUTER BYPASS

Barristers for Galway County Council are to begin presentations to the European Courts of Justice on July 5th on the Galway City Outer Bypass.

The court will then likely sit in private to discuss the submissions and all aspects of the case before coming to a decision.

Sources suggest that the Commission is anxious that proceedings on the long running saga would come to an end soon.

Galway West TD Sean Kyne has welcomed the July start date, stating the outer bypass is vital in terms of Galway's economic growth.
