JOBS BOOST FOR CLONBERNE

30 new jobs are in the pipeline for the county with the opening of a new extension to the Central Park Nursing Home in Clonberne today.

The home already employs 70 staff at its 60-bed facility, but the new extension could result in the creation of up to 30 new jobs.

Minister for Health James Reilly cut the ribbon on the facility in Clonberne this evening..

The opening was latest on a list of engagements for the Health Minister in County Galway today.

On a trip to West Connemara earlier, Dr Reilly addressed some of the difficulties with the Fair Deal scheme for nursing home residents.
