Hundreds vow to protest over Ballinasloe psychiatric unit closure
Galway Bay fm newsroom - More than 500 people attended a public meeting last night (26/8) about the future of a psychiatric unit in Ballinasloe.
The group has pledged to take to the streets to prevent the closure of the 22 bed acute care mental health unit at St. Brigid's Hospital.A protest rally will also take place outside the Dáil on September 18th as a local deputation meets Junior Minister at the Department of Health, Kathleen Lynch.
