HUNDREDS OF MNA TI TURN OUT FOR MEETING IN CONNEMARA

Hundreds of mná tí have descended on Furbo this afternoon to attend a public meeting about possible funding cuts.Mná Tí host students from all over the country who are attending Gaeltacht colleges.A rally had originally been planned for today at the Údarás na Gaeltactha offices in Furbo.However Minister Éamon Ó Cuív agreed to hold a public meeting instead which gets underway around now.
