Over a hundred Galway jobseekers turned up at a jobs expo in the city last evening [Mar 8] to find out more about employment opportunities in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The crowd attending the roadshow in the Radission Hotel ranged in age from 20 upwards, with the majority being men.

Organisers VISAFIRST handed out information leaflets and gave a formal talk on getting a Visa and securing work abroad.

This included up to 50 driver and truck mechanic positions in Canada as well as construction jobs in New Zealand starting this July.
