Over 600 clergy and lay people are gathering in Galway ahead of tomorrow's 2008 General Synod of the Church of Ireland. It's the first ever to take place west of the Shannon. It begins in the Radisson Hotel at 11 o'clock tomorrow and runs until Thursday afternoon. Reverend Patrick Towers of St Nicholas' Collegiate Church says preparations are well underway.
