HUNDREDS ATTEND MANUELA FUNERAL IN SWITZERLAND

Only child Manuela Riedo is being laid to rest in her native Switzerland this lunchtime (1300 hours, Irish time).Hundreds of mourners are attending the funeral in her hometown of Hinterkappeln near Bern.Ireland's Ambassador James Sharkey along with the Mayor of Galway, Tom Costello, and the owner of the language school in Mill Street which Manuela was attending are there to pay their respects.Journalist Matthias Baerlocher says the local authorities have gone to great lengths to keep the funeral as private as possible for Manuela's family
