HSE WEST INVESTIGATING COUNTY GP PRACTICE

The HSE West is investigating a GP practice in the county on foot of a complaint about prescriptions.

Chairman of the West Regional Health Forum, Councillor Padraig Conneely asked the HSE about the current status of the investigation at a meeting of the Forum this week.

He claims one GP is non-compliant when dispensing prescriptions to patients to allow them choose a pharmacy of their choice.

The HSE says it can't comment while the investigation is ongoing.
