HSE PUBLISHES REPORT ON ERRORS BY DR E AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL GALWAY

The Health Service Executive has published the report of a review of the work of a locum pathologist who worked at University Hospital Galway for six weeks in 2004.The report describes an unacceptable number of errors and concluded that the errors made, had an impact on the care of three patients.However their clinical effect was limited. The hospital has once again apologised to all patients and their families who have been affected by events described in this report.
