HSE opens new Primary Care Centre in Athenry
Galway Bay fm newsroom - A new Primary Care Centre has been opened in Athenry.
The facility is located in Raheen with all GP services provided by the doctors from "The Surgery", previously based at Caheroyn.
The centre will accommodate Public Health Nurses, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology Services, Family Support Services and Counselling Service.
There will also be a Day Hospital for the local Community Mental Health Team.
A number of private healthcare providers will be on site including Athenry Physiotherapy, McSharry’s Pharmacy, Ruth Kilcoyne Dietitian and Specsavers.
Marie Prendergast, Primary Care HSE West says the new facility will allow the provision of high quality health care in a clean, modern, safe environment.
