HSA INVESTIGATION AFTER LOUGHREA MAN DIES IN CLARE WORK ACCIDENT

The Health and Safety Authority has launched an investigation after a Loughrea man aged in his early sixties, died in an industrial accident in North County Clare yesterday.
The father of four has been named locally as Johnny Geraghty of Leitrim in Loughrea.
The incident took place at around 12.30 yesterday afternoon in lands at Ballybornagh, in Boston.
The man was electrocuted after he came into contact with overhead powerlines and was pronounced dead at the scene.
