HIGH SPEED BROADBAND TO IMPROVE GAELTACHT SERVICES

A new high-speed broadband system has been launched in Connemara, by Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Éamon Ó Cuív today.The new telecommunications network will give better services to four areas of Connemara and was launched in An Cheathrú Rua.The system is being jointly funded by Údarás na Gaeltachta and NUIGalway at a cost of 180 thousand euro.
