HIGH COURT APPROVES 3 MILLION COMPENSATION FOR GALWAY MAN'S INJURIES AT BIRTH

The High Court has approved a 3 million euro settlement for a 21 year old Galwayman who suffered severe injuries and cerebral palsy as a result of alleged negligence in the circumstances of his birth at Galway Regional Hospital. Mr Justice John Quirke approved the settlement for John Tobin, who had sued through his mother Anne, of Farm, Williamstown, against the HSE. Today's Irish Times reports the settlement is also without the admission of liability.
