HELICOPTER MAKES HOSPITAL JOURNEY DUE TO AMBULANCE DELAY

The Coastguard helicopter was called in last night to remove an injured man from west Connemara to hospital
The helicopter was called in when it became known that there would be a delay in getting an ambulance to the scene.
The man sustained head injuries in a fall in a pub in Carna.
