HEALTH MINISTER PRAISES GALWAYS NEWEST CANCER FACILITY

Minister for Health, Mary Harney says the prostate cancer diagnostic centre, which she is due to open in the city this morning, will be crucial in the fight against cancer.The 'national prostate cancer rapid diagnostic service' is located in University Hospital Galway, and will serve prostate cancer patients in the west and north west.The Minister will officially open the centre at UHG at half past ten this morning. Minister Harney arrived in Galway yesterday to launch another cancer facility in the city.The 'Symptomatic breast unit' was officially opened at half past six last evening.
